The missionary Rev. Fr. Bader, S.J., then the Parish Priest of St. Ignatius Church, Kirkee, looked after the parish school from 1935-1949.
In 1951, St. Joseph opened under the leadership of then Bishop Rt. Rev. Andrew D’Souza. He invited the sisters of Trivandrum Carmelites to continue the school in English Medium, transitioning from Tamil Medium.
St. Joseph Boys’ High School was established on February 1st, 1963.
